Why languages matter to me

“You are worth as many people as the languages you speak” is a saying known to almost everybody. It means that speaking a foreign language doesn’t just involve knowledge of the language itself but also knowledge about different people, traditions and customs thus broadening speaker’s horizons.

As a part of the project  Languages matter, students from class 2 D made videos and posters in which they explained why they like learning foreign languages, what speaking different languages allows them to do and why languages are important. To put it simply, girls explained why languages matter to them. You can see their works in the gallery below.
